They should redo the final episode of TVD. Have Elena wake from her coma again. Only this time explain the cure put her in to a deep coma not Kai & everything that happened during season 7 & 8 was in Elena's imagination while she was sleeping. The cure was corrupted because of it's age & because it traveled through time. The cure really failed to work & Elena is still a vampire, so is Damon & the gang are all alive. Then go from there....Just restart TVD like S7/8 never happened 🙏🏻

I'd like to see this end in an epic crescendo and have the cold war between Gilead and Canada/UK/US Rump go hot. Fight it out, end in a stalemate and finish the series with a Korean-war truce. Inherent to which can be a prisoner/citizen exchange. Or all out channel the Korean war and have a two day period of an open bridge where citizens can freely sort themselves where they want to be, before an iron curtain DMZ slams down and the cold war resumes. This will allow (and force) characters to make their choices of side. Serena and the Gilead supporters in Canada can go south. June can be reunited with her children. Since this is the end, any and all characters are on the table to die in the war. It ends dramatically and bittersweet, with a tense setup in place to roll into the future-based sequel series.

Politics are thrown out the door. A show to entertain. Very strange, weird and delightful.
